Medical Assembler (Pilot Operator)

As a Pilot Operator on our Research & Development team, you’ll work side‑by‑side with engineers and technicians to bring new product concepts to life and help refine the processes that will eventually scale to full production. What You’ll Do 🛠️Build and assemble prototype medical devices in cleanroom and non‑cleanroom environments.Start in packaging and testing to learn components and workflows.Operate specialized equipment, including vertical reflow machines for coating and laminating.Cross‑train across assembly, machine operation, grinding, and lab work.Work with precision hand tools (tweezers, pliers, crimpers, screwdrivers).Receive training in soldering and light welding.Operate flattener machines and semi‑automated reflow systems.Partner with engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and improve processes.Perform grinding, finishing, and deburring using microscopes and precision equipment.Use computers for documentation and process tracking.What You Bring 🎯Essential Skills4+ years of medical assembly experience.Experience collaborating with R&D teams and engineers.Strong catheter assembly skills (reflow, braiding).Ability to troubleshoot, multitask, and adapt.Experience with coil winding, laser welding, stamping, and microscope inspection.Additional QualificationsComfortable cross‑training and learning new processes.Self‑starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.Tech‑savvy and comfortable with digital tools.Creative thinker who enjoys improving processes and contributing new ideas.Why You’ll Love Working Here 💙A modern, bright, newly built facility designed for comfort and efficiency.A welcoming lunch/break room with an on‑site market 🍽️Opportunities for career growth, tuition reimbursement, and professional development.Comprehensive benefits: PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k).A diverse, financially stable company with a 400+ year global history.Work on cutting‑edge products at an R&D site that values innovation.Convenient location near a local brewery 🍺 and an employee‑friendly culture.Your Work Environment 🧪

Join a team of 10–15 skilled professionals—including engineers, technicians, leads, and assemblers—working in a clean, organized, temperature‑controlled facility built within the last five years. The environment is collaborative, hands‑on, and focused on developing efficient, scalable manufacturing processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Fridley, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr.
