**M** **edical Assembler/Operator II**
**Location:** St. Paul, MN
**1** **st** **shift:** 4:30am-3:00pm, M-F - $19.75 per hour
**Summary**
This position is responsible for the production of high-quality life changing/saving medical devices. This position includes detailed assembly, molding, plastic welding, packaging, use of magnifying glass/microscope, and operation of various equipment and machinery.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
+ Assemble medical devices following a documented process. Assemble using applicable tools, including use of magnifying glass/microscope as needed. Training will be provided for the use of this equipment and do not require previous experience.
+ Use of chemicals is required for some processing of materials, personal protective equipment must be worn while chemical processing is occurring.
+ Locate and correct problems by examining and performing a visual inspection of parts
+ Be able to clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in English using both written and oral forms.
+ Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
o Note that 95% of the positions require safety glasses (except for vision Critical Activities).
**Qualifications and Skills**
+ 3-6 months of experience with assembly or medical assembly
+ High school diploma
+ Most of the positions will require you to use magnifier glass (~50%) and a microscope from (~15%). We ask that you are willing to learn how to use a magnifier glass and a microscope.
+ Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures in English; understand and follow verbal instructions in English.
+ Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
+ Able and willing to work overtime as needed.
+ Able to work in a team environment to build a healthy and safe working environment.
+ Able to communicate well with team members and have good interpersonal skills.
