**Mechanical Test Technician** 📍 _Highland Heights, OH_ 💰 _$35/hour | On-site | First Shift_ 🕒 _3–4 Month Contract (Potential to Extend)_ Manpower Engineering is hiring a **Mechanical Test Technician** to support lab operations for a Cleveland-area manufacturing client. **Position Summary** The lab technician position is responsible for development, setup and execution of testing for a variety of end-user tools used in automotive and industrial markets. This includes testing of tool assemblies as well as individual electrical and mechanical component tests such as motors, gearing and electronic control modules. Primary responsibilities will include developing test plans, test setup, instrumentation, building text fixtures and execution and publishing of final lab reports. **Skills & Experience** + 5 years’ experience working in an engineering lab environment or equivalent experience + Experience in validation of mechanical and electrical components and associated test equipment + Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment + Understanding of basic mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and experience working with instrumentation + Computer skills + Preferred to have experience with Labview software for test development + Electrical not needed for the role but helpful if you have experience with electronics with PCBs to be able to troubleshoot circuit boards with probes, change capacitors, use oscilloscope, understand how current flows through electronic systems **Why You’ll Like It Here:** + Small company feel where you will work in a collaborative team + Lots of long-term employees who like working there and like working with the products + Flexible 1 st shift hours If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
