Mechanical Technician IV
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Technician IV. **Type:** Contract **Job Title:** Mechanical Technician IV **Location:** Newton, NC _Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC_ **Pay Rate:** Based on experience **Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm **Education:** Associates degree required; High School degree considered with significant hands-on experience **Position Overview:** The Mechanical Technician IV will lead and support mechanical installations, equipment debugging, and capacity additions on manufacturing lines. This role requires advanced mechanical expertise, project support skills, and collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient equipment performance. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead installation, alignment, testing, and calibration of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, pumps). + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical equipment failures. + Implement mechanical solutions and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reliability. + Support operations training and maintain accurate engineering documentation. + Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and meet project milestones. + Manage spare parts identification, inventory, and storeroom entries. **Qualifications:** + **Experience:** 3+ years in manufacturing equipment installations; start-up experience preferred. + Strong mechanical skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, and conveyors. + Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. + Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic CMMS systems. + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. **Certifications & Skills:** + Mechatronics or mechanical/industrial certifications (Millwright, HVAC, Welding) a plus. + OSHA or safety certifications may be required. + CAD experience and project leadership a plus. **Soft Skills:** + Able to lead technical projects and collaborate effectively within teams. + Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet aggressive project timelines. **Additional Information:** + No third-party resumes will be accepted + Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted + CTG will consider applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws + All candidates must work on a W2 tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) + CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer + CTG is an E-Verify Company **To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to** **Rebecca.Olan@ctg.com** **.** **About CTG** CTG, a Cegeka company, is at the forefront of digital transformation, providing IT and business solutions that accelerate project momentum and deliver desired value.
