CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Mechanical Technician III to support engineering projects focused on manufacturing capacity expansions, line installations, and equipment debugging. This role is hands-on, mechanical-focused, and ideal for candidates with experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

_Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC_
**Pay Rate:** Based on experience
**Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm
**Education:** Associates degree
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Install, align, test, and debug mechanical systems on new equipment (pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
+ Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
+ Design and implement mechanical process improvements for manufacturing equipment
+ Manage spare parts identification, storeroom entries, and equipment documentation
+ Support training for operations staff on equipment and process changes
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to meet project scope, timing, and cost targets
+ Maintain safe work practices and comply with industrial safety standards
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years of experience with new equipment installations in manufacturing; start-up experience a plus
+ Strong mechanical fundamentals and problem-solving skills
+ Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gear systems, and conveyors
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
+ Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and PC software (MS Office, CMMS)
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Relevant certifications (Millwright, HVAC, Welding)
+ OSHA or other safety certifications
+ Hands-on experience with commercial manufacturing equipment
+ Project leadership experience, including vendor management and milestone tracking
+ CAD experience and attention to detail
**Soft Skills:**
+ Strong teamwork and communication
+ Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities
+ Ability to allocate and supervise resources to meet aggressive project timelines
