Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our repair shop, specializing in repairing electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other mechanical apparatus. This role requires a strong mechanical ability and attention to detail, ensuring the efficient assembly and repair of various mechanical components.
Responsibilities
Repair electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other mechanical apparatus.Troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.Use hand tools and blueprint reading skills to assist in repairs and assembly.Work independently and as part of a team to meet performance goals.Identify parts needed for repairs by analyzing parts breakdowns.Essential Skills
Strong mechanical ability.Attention to detail.Ability to use measuring equipment, such as micrometers and dial calipers.Experience in using a Volt Meter.Capability to lift up to 85lbs.High School Degree/GED required.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Light rigging experience is a plus.Welding and oxy-acetylene torch experience is advantageous.Experience with light manual machining is desirable.A strong electrical/mechanical background is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a service shop and operates on the first shift from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour work shift. Employees are expected to have their own small hand tools and work in a team-oriented environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
