Job Title: Mechanical Technician

2nd shift - $28-$36/HR

Job Description

The Electro-Mechanical/Controls Technician collaborates with manufacturing, quality, and engineering departments to troubleshoot and maintain electronic components and PLC systems in equipment. This role is responsible for repairing and replacing electrical components and PLC devices under the guidance of the Lead Controls Technician. A strong mechanical troubleshooting experience is essential, as is the ability to perform hands-on preventative and repair maintenance on various industrial manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain existing equipment and PLC-controlled systems.Perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, including electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, as well as PLC and HMI systems.Interact with electrical control systems of various voltages, including 3 phase 480v, 120v, and 24v AC and DC.Determine the root cause of equipment failures, execute mechanical repairs, and document maintenance procedures.Participate as a team member in various lean improvement projects.Actively engage in Kaizen/Lean events, internal audits, action items, and various engineering projects.

Essential Skills

Maintenance and industrial maintenance expertise.Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical repair.Ability to read schematics and perform PLC troubleshooting.
