Mechanical Technician
**Job Title: Mechanical Technician** **Job Description** As a Production Technician, you will accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies following drawings, written, or verbal instructions. This role involves inspecting and testing subassemblies, maintaining quality and safety standards, and participating in various tasks to support production. **Responsibilities** + Read and understand bill of material structure, escalating errors or discrepancies as needed. + Visually inspect components for flaws or damage and report issues appropriately. + Assist with miscellaneous tasks such as packaging finished goods, material handling, and warehouse organization. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including participation in the 5S program. + Communicate ideas and facts professionally to all stakeholders. + Regularly perform repetitive tasks and sit or stand for long periods. + Possess manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately. + Upload component firmware according to instructions. + Adhere to the redline process to document as-built changes. + Maintain accurate accounting of project materials and report discrepancies. + Rework and repair equipment and products as instructed. + Participate in developing work instructions, including writing simple work instructions and assembly notes. + Safely use advanced tooling such as power tools and CableEye. + Identify and assist in developing tools/jigs to facilitate assembly processes. + Operate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cables. + Perform field service as needed. + Proficiently navigate 3D CAD/e-drawings for assembly aid. + Perform full system cold checks using schematics. + Obtain high-voltage electrical safety training to perform hot checks safely. + Demonstrate advanced proficiency in wire layout, routing, and termination for UL 508A panels. + Build cables/wire harnesses conforming to IPC 620 standards. + Assemble 24V safety circuits and identify continuous improvement opportunities. + Perform advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assemblies. + Lead first article projects and act as a leader for the production team, upholding company values. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical assembly and wire harness skills. + Troubleshooting and blueprint interpretation. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Experience with electrical schematics and blueprint reading. + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or building. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to strip, crimp, and splice electrical wires. + Experience with torqueing fasteners to specifications. + Capability to route cables and secure wiring. + Skill in attaching labels or nameplates to assemblies. + Proficiency in measuring dimensions for part clearance. + Experience with electrical continuity testing using a voltmeter. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers a dynamic work environment with cool amenities, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. **Work Environment** Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility.
