**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our assembly department. The role involves reading blueprints and assembling parts according to specifications. The parts vary in size from small to as large as a railroad car, depending on the day's assembly task. This is not a repetitive assembly line position; instead, you will create a variety of custom parts tailored to client orders. A keen ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve is crucial for success in this role. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints to assemble parts accurately. + Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks. + Collaborate with team members to complete custom client orders. + Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise during assembly. + Ensure quality and precision in all assembly tasks. **Essential Skills** + Experience with power tools and hand tools. + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Proficiency in measuring tools and blueprint reading. + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. + At least 1 year of experience in assembly or a mechanical role. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required. + Willingness to collaborate and troubleshoot issues. + Proficiency with a variety of tools, including torque equipment and pneumatic tools. **Why Work Here?** Join a diverse and close-knit team where culture is highly valued. Team members are expected to wear steel-toes, hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, long pants, and professional shirts. Sleeveless shirts are not permitted. Assemblers will work on either the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. There is a possibility of staying up to 2 hours past the official shift end time, with the potential for voluntary overtime on Sundays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Columbia, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
