The primary function of this position is to bond insulative materials to metal and composite parts and surfaces. This includes cleaning and abrading surfaces for bonding prep, measuring, mixing and applying adhesives. The position requires the ability to read engineering/assembly drawings and bills of materials/parts list as well as reading, comprehending and following written instructions. Requires demonstrated experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly.
This is a fully on-site position; hybrid or remote work is not available. Relocation is not available for this role.
We work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
In this job, you will:
Perform a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components.
Device, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
Set up and test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.
Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of additional education and/or related experience
Ability to read engineering/assembly drawings and bills of materials/parts list
Able to draft and read detailed drawings for fabrication.
Proven ability to read, comprehend and follow written instructions
Able to manipulate objects, often requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Able to work 1st shift
Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which generally requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman operating practices

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
