Job Title: Mechanical HVAC EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Architecture and Engineering (AE) team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of projects and building types, making a significant impact in our field.

ResponsibilitiesPossess a good working knowledge of the International Mechanical Code and Energy Conservation Code.Maintain strong communication skills and work effectively within a multi-discipline project team.Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight.Exhibit excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail.Troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently under pressure with a positive attitude.Have working knowledge of codes and standards such as SMACNA, NEC, IBC, IMC, IECC, and ASHRAE.Essential Skills10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience.Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Revit.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent commercial HVAC design experience.Strong knowledge of calculations, design, layout, and specification of commercial and institutional HVAC systems.Experience with HVAC replacement projects and project management.Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) certification.Experience working on projects within higher education.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in project management.Skill in plumbing design and Revit design.Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.Work Environment

The position is based in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The firm is a 50+ person company experiencing growth in the MEP sector. This offers the unique opportunity to be part of the expansion in a primarily architecture-focused firm.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
