Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Technician to work onsite at our client's facility in North Houston (Spring, Texas). This person will be working in a lab environment, evaluating PCs that come into the lab from customers. Duties include: - Review and evaluate mechanical 2D and 3D drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering quality standards. - Develop reliability test plan for product qualification, ensuring appropriate test coverage, executing test plans effectively, and clearly communicating test results, risks, and recommendations to cross‑functional teams. - Apply strong PC hardware knowledge—including components, assemblies, and system boards—to support design reviews, testing, and troubleshooting activities. - Produce clear, organized technical reports in a timely manner and communicate findings to R&D and factory teams to document findings and propose design solutions. - Ability to adapt to fast-paced product development schedule and communicate technical concepts to global cross-functional team of engineers, program managers, and leadership through written summaries, presentations, and discussions. Compensation: $25.00-$33.00/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study Strong ability to read and evaluate 2D/3D CAD drawings Strong understanding of PC hardware and components Ability to teardown PC devices and analyze/root cause mechanical related failures. Good communication, both written and verbal Previous experience with HP PCs
