**Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer III
**Location:** Edmonton, AB (Hybrid)
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer III, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to project management, which will align successfully with the organization.
**Job Description:**
+ Oversee the design of expansion and growth enhancement projects executed by engineering service providers.
+ Lead the design review process with internal and external stakeholders ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and specifications.
+ Manage the specification and requisition of materials, evaluating vendor quotations and providing recommendations.
+ Provide technical support during all project phases, including development, construction, and commissioning.
+ Act as Engineering control account manager for internal and external budget, schedule, and technical objectives.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in engineering system design and commissioning activities within the oil and gas industry.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
+ Professional Engineer designation.
+ Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiating skills.
+ Ability to effectively communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff.
