Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems that drive our organization's success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes. Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, hydronic, and air-side systems, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and performance optimizationPerform detailed load calculations, capacity planning, and heat load analysis to determine system requirements and ensure proper equipment sizingSelect and specify appropriate mechanical equipment and components based on project requirements, industry standards, and cost-effectivenessDevelop comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and other engineering toolsConduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and simulations to optimize airflow distribution, identify potential issues, and recommend design improvementsCreate and maintain detailed P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), flow diagrams, and sequences of operations for mechanical systemsCollaborate with electrical engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with overall project infrastructureReview and approve contractor shop drawings, material technical submittals, and requests for information (RFIs) to ensure compliance with design specificationsDevelop and review Method of Procedures (MOP) and Commissioning (Cx) procedures and documentationAnalyze and interpret local building codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure all designs meet compliance requirementsImplement energy-efficient design strategies and sustainability initiatives to minimize operational costs and environmental impactTroubleshoot mechanical system issues and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challengesParticipate in project meetings and effectively communicate design plans, progress updates, and technical recommendations to all stakeholdersMentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented team environmentStay current with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

3-5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, systems design, or a related fieldProficiency in HVAC, hydronic, and air-side system design, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping design, and control systemsStrong proficiency with engineering software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis software (Ansys, IES, Cradle, or similar)Demonstrated experience in developing technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive engineering documentationSolid understanding of mechanical systems design principles, energy efficiency optimization, and system redundancyExperience in equipment selection, specification, and coordination with manufacturersProficiency in creating P&IDs, flow diagrams, and sequences of operationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systemsExcellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyProven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholdersExperience in reviewing contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIsKnowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to mechanical systemsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

Experience with additional engineering software such as Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, Pipe-Flo, or NavisWorksExperience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D modelingBackground in energy management, sustainability, or green building practicesExperience mentoring or supervising junior engineersFamiliarity with industry standards and best practices in mechanical systems designExperience in commissioning and startup of mechanical systems

**Education and Certifications:**

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field from an accredited universityProfessional Engineer (PE) License or eligibility to obtain licensure (preferred)Professional certifications related to mechanical engineering or HVAC systems (preferred)Master's degree or advanced coursework in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, or energy management (preferred)
