Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and hard-working Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Amusement/Theme Park Industry and an equivalent experience in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering related to amusement ride machinery. The position is based in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical systems for amusement park rides.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand technical complexities.Manage projects efficiently, meeting tight deadlines.Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience in the theme park industry with mechanical engineering related to amusement park machinery.Strong knowledge of mechanical design, steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, and conveyance systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of control systems, power distribution, motors, and motor control systems.Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and human factors.Fluency in additional languages is a plus.Knowledge of MS Project is beneficial.Strong expediting and project management skills.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
