Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to support the development of new tooling and processes created by the Advanced Manufacturing Repair Technology (AMRT) team for Gas Turbine Component Hardware Repair. This role involves writing Repair Engineering Instructions (REI’s) to detail repair limits, procedures, or new equipment qualification requirements and supporting the documentation of new tooling and processes. The engineer will also aid in the industrialization and qualification of processes and tooling being implemented in the Service Center, and provide nonconformance dispositions and other engineering support for production repair jobs.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and support new tooling and processes for Gas Turbine Component Hardware Repair.Write Repair Engineering Instructions detailing repair limits, procedures, and equipment qualification requirements.Document new tooling and processes in Repair Engineering Instructions.Support the industrialization and qualification of processes and tooling in the Service Center.Provide nonconformance dispositions and engineering support for production repair jobs.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical design and engineering.Experience with NX software for 3D modeling.Competence in writing technical engineering documents.Understanding of basic statistics for manufacturing process control.Strong mechanical aptitude.Familiarity with manufacturing processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering.Experience in Gas Turbine manufacturing, design, or repair environment.Work Environment

The role is based in a dynamic Service Center environment where advanced technologies and tooling are utilized for the repair and manufacturing processes. Engineers are expected to collaborate closely with the AMRT team, applying their expertise in mechanical design and statistical analysis to improve and qualify processes. The work involves using 3D modeling software, particularly NX, and requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes to ensure successful industrialization and implementation of new tooling.

This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
