We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in engineering, managing, and delivering mechanical systems tailored to customer needs. From concept through commissioning, this role is responsible for CAD design, technical leadership, coordination with internal teams, and direct customer engagement.
ResponsibilitiesDesign custom mechanical equipment using CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).Manage projects from initial customer specifications through design, fabrication, assembly, and delivery.Interface directly with customers to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fabrication, controls, and field service.Oversee equipment testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning (on-site and remote).Maintain documentation including BOMs, drawings, manuals, and specifications.Support continuous improvement and standardization of design and build processes.Essential SkillsDesign experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, or equivalent.5+ years experience in OEM design, machine design, or equipment design.Experience in reading and generating prints.Previous project management experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform calculations for complex systems such as structural loading, drive size, conveyance systems.Experience in sizing water pumps, gear motors, and cylinders.Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience with standard fabrication methods.Required experience in hydraulic/pneumatic and/or light industrial electrical systems.Work EnvironmentThe work environment consists of a standard office setting attached to a manufacturing facility. The schedule is hybrid, with three days remote and two days onsite. The team is laid back and friendly, comprising six other engineers. Enjoy some Fridays off, with the expectation of completing work tasks.
