Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

In this role as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing and analyzing mechanical systems and structures, ensuring they meet high standards for performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will help us devise practical solutions, tackle complex engineering challenges, and contribute to the success of projects of all sizes. You will engage in a variety of projects that stretch the boundaries of mechanical engineering, focusing on mechanical design, structural and thermal integrity, and optimization along with installation.

Responsibilities

Lead your own projects from start to finish, designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and structures.Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and other engineers to ensure project success, delivering projects on time and within budget.Ensure that designs meet high engineering standards.Contribute to larger, more complex projects, aiding in keeping them on track.Validate and refine components and systems to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.

Essential Skills

Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering and designProven experience leading design projects, from brainstorming to final implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systemsExcellent communication skills to explain complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work well with cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving skills offering creative solutions to design challenges.

Assets

Experience with electromechanical systems or multi-disciplinary design.Experience with SolidWorks.Experience working in a highly regulated industry

Work Environment

This position requires occasional overtime to meet project requirements and occasional travel (up to 90 days/year, including international travel).

Bonuses are assigned based on amount of yearly travel done.
