Job Description:

• Set up and operate a 3D scanning station using a turntable and handheld 3D scanning gun.

• Prepare parts for scanning by applying tracking stickers and positioning them appropriately.

• Capture high-quality 3D scans of each part and ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Save and organize scan files, then email them to the Actalent Services team for post-processing and refinement.

• Maintain a consistent workflow, completing approximately 15–20 parts per day once fully trained.

• Collaborate with Actalent Services and Altec teams to ensure scanned models meet quality and usability standards.

• Assist with final 3D modeling and refinement if qualified and if scanning backlog is cleared.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience with 3D scanning equipment and software is preferred, but not required.

• Familiarity with CAD or 3D modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.

• Good organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in mechanical design

• Experience working in a manufacturing or product development environment is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Joseph, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
