Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer responsible for generating and maintaining CNC programs using NX-CAM or similar software. This position involves working with multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. The role requires verifying new CNC programs before their release on the shop floor through Vericut, providing CNC-related support to manufacturing engineers, and offering operator training during machine startups or process improvements. Responsibilities + Generate and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or other software for multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. + Verify new CNC programs using Vericut before release on the shop floor. + Provide CNC-related support to manufacturing engineers and operator training for new or rebuilt machine startups and process improvements. + Offer daily operator support with CNC programming and troubleshooting on the shop floor. + Support and implement tooling and fixturing requirements for CNC machine tools. + Generate and support workstation instructions for CNC-related issues. + Initiate and lead process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery. + Communicate effectively with team members as needed. + Work effectively both as an individual and within a team-based environment in a matrixed organization. + Adapt to a fast-paced environment while embracing and driving positive change. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Machine Tool Technology. + Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM system, preferably NX. + Experience machining high-temperature superalloys found in HDGT or Aerospace components. + Minimum of 1 year of experience with high-level machine tool controls, including sub-routine (macro), probing routine, and variable-based programming, as well as closed loop machining (CLM). + Strong familiarity with machine controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, and Siemens Sinumerik ONE. Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced and requires adaptability to change. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team in a matrixed organization. The position may require working with advanced CNC machinery and software, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
