Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will act as the senior technical authority for mechanical and electromechanical design. You will lead precision mechanical design efforts and support tolerance stack up analysis. Your role will involve planning, running, and analyzing Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize designs, improve performance, and support root cause investigations. Responsibilities + Lead and support tolerance stack up analysis and precision mechanical design efforts. + Plan, run, and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize designs, improve performance, and support root cause investigations. + Resolve technical and manufacturing issues in collaboration with production, quality, and operations teams. + Review and document best practices for engineering processes. + Design, develop, and support systems involving resolvers, LVDTs, position sensing systems, motion control, and electromechanical assemblies. + Perform mechanical analysis and support design validation activities. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote Lean thinking across engineering and manufacturing. + Support design reviews, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and corrective actions. + Proactively identify improvement opportunities with a forward-thinking mindset. Essential Skills + 5–10 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally within electromechanical or motion control products. + Experience with tolerance stack up analysis, DOE or structured problem-solving methodologies. + Hands-on troubleshooting in both design and manufacturing environments. + Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks (preferred), Fusion 360, and AutoCAD. + Strong ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor. + Comfortable transitioning between design work and hands-on issue resolution. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments. + Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives. + Background in high precision, sensor-based, or motion control systems. Work Environment The work environment includes a standard engineering setup with cubicles and offices for engineering tasks. All production activities occur on-site, promoting collaboration and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Ronkonkoma, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
