Mechanical Engineer
Job Description The Mechanical Engineer will drive innovation, continuous engineering improvement, and production process enhancement for the customers material handling systems. Relying upon industry expertise and practical experience, the individual will provide mentorship to the Automation Department team, manage day-to-day operations of the customers Autodesk Vault System and make recommendations on technology/process improvements. Core Responsibilities  Lead mechanical portion of the Automation Team’s projects, focusing on continuous improvement and mentoring other engineers  Collaborate with the Automation Team to implement efficiency workflow and process initiatives, leveraging automated systems including CADLink, iLogic, and Vault automation  Beginning with Tech Logic’s ECO process, review, assess and implement recommended changes to Tech Logic’s engineering processes to incorporate industry best practices and technology evolution  Collaborate with and support the purchasing, production & installation teams as necessary during the production cycle to maintain a 360-degree view of Tech Logic’s sale to installation process  Manage and evolve Tech Logic’s AD Vault and CAD environment by regularly liaising with the Director of Automation & General Manager  Assist purchasing by engaging vendors, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure POs are to Tech Logic specifications and/or determine viable alternative selection(s)  Audit proposed designs for compliance with local, state and national building codes/regulations We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
