Mechanical Engineer

Skills and Requirements · Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics · Minimum of 5-10 years relevant industry experience in a Mechanical Design Role · Thorough understanding of fundamental mechanical design principles and process · Intimate knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools i.e., Pro/E, SolidWorks · Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles · History of generating Statements of Work and design documentation · Familiar with fixture and tool design · Familiar with thermal analysis and stress analysis · Knowledge of FMEA and RCCA methodologies · Knowledge of fabrication techniques (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal layout, etc.) · Knowledge of ESD principles · Basic knowledge of electrical design principles i.e., grounding, shielding, cable design
