Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on plant-level engineering, including the design and layout of conveyor systems, chutes, and material handling equipment. The position is evenly divided between project management and engineering tasks, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience.

Responsibilities

Design and layout of conveyor systems, chutes, and material handling equipment.Develop P&ID's and PFD's to drive automation and instrumentation.Collaborate with end users to connect all design aspects in real-time.Specify and procure machinery, ensuring it meets required specifications.Design steel works to support machinery.Self-perform design tasks and collaborate directly with the end user.Engage in projects related to amusements, robotic manufacturing, and product feeding.

Essential Skills

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification.5+ years experience with AutoCAD.5+ years experience in material handling system layout design.Ability to understand plant-level processes and material movement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Experience in creating fabrication drawings.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $57.69/hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Vancouver,BC.
