This role focuses on mechanical design, analysis, validation, and product support throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams to deliver reliable, high-quality products for demanding applications.
Responsibilities:Develop mechanical designs and customized solutions from concept through validation and production readinessCreate 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation to support new and existing productsPerform mechanical analysis including stress, fatigue, durability, and simulation to validate designsSupport product launches and assist with transitioning designs from development into established product platformsIdentify technical and project risks and support mitigation efforts throughout development activitiesSelect materials and recommend manufacturing processes based on performance and application requirementsBuild, assemble, and test prototypes to verify functionality and compliance with specificationsProcess engineering change requests and support design updates for customer-specific applicationsAssist with corrective action investigations and implementation of long-term design solutionsProvide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior engineers and designersQualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience3–7 years of experience in mechanical design and product developmentStrong understanding of structured product development processes and risk management principlesExperience with mechanical analysis tools, including FEA and functional modelingProficiency with 3D CAD and solid modeling softwareAbility to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and electronic drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with applicable regulatory standards such as UL, NEC, and NFPA preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearlyProven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlinesBenefits and Perks:Pay based on experienceMedical, dental, and life insurance coverage401(k) retirement planPaid vacation, personal time, and company holidaysProfit sharing programTuition reimbursementRelocation assistance availableSafe, professional, and well-equipped work environmentYour New Organization:You’ll be part of a technically advanced engineering organization that values innovation, quality, and collaboration.
