Mechanical Engineer

Description

- Develop and modify 3D CAD models for sheet metal and CNC‑machined components, assemblies, and full enclosure designs.

- Break down complex assemblies into manufacturable subassemblies and produce accurate BOMs, production drawings, and documentation.

- Apply solid working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and metal machining (CNC) to ensure designs are production‑ready.

- Incorporate military environmental requirements (shock, vibration, sand/dust, salt fog) into design decisions.

- Support ECO work initially, transitioning into new product design as experience grows.

- Participate in DFM reviews and collaborate closely with manufacturing, test, quality, and program teams.

- Provide occasional support during manufacturing builds to ensure smooth product release.

- Apply good mechanical design practices to help minimize EMI through features like cover interfaces, gasket strategy, and hardware spacing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.

- 4–10+ years of relevant mechanical design experience.

- Creo preferred, but SolidWorks is acceptable.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities.

- GD&T fundamentals.

- Experience with ruggedized or military-grade hardware is highly desirable but not required in place of strong mechanical skills.

- Familiarity with EMI-related mechanical design techniques is nice to have.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
