We are supporting a client who designs automated systems for customers in aerospace, medical device, and advanced manufacturing. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong machine design background who enjoys working across the full lifecycle of a system from concept and CAD to assembly, testing, and customer support.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a less-structured environment, wears multiple hats, and likes seeing their designs physically built and tested.

What You’ll Do

Design industrial heating and automated systems (approx. 75% design-focused role) Create machine designs from scratch, including frames, mounting structures, and assemblies Select mechanical components and materials and support quoting and cost estimation Develop systems for: Infrared and industrial heating Heating equipment for extruders High-speed, high-temperature test systems for aerospace customers Custom benches and equipment for medical device manufacturing, including catheter and stent finishing (electropolishing) Work on a mix of: Repeat systems (~70%) Fully custom designs (~30%) Build and assemble the systems you design Perform checkout, testing, and troubleshooting Run basic simulations and analyses to validate designsWhat We’re Looking For BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar 3+ years of experience in mechanical or machine design is targeted Hands-on experience with automated systems or industrial equipment Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar) Experience selecting components and designing for manufacturabilityWhy This Role?
