Mechanical Engineer

 

Searching for a CAD/CAM Engineer who can model and design a variety of pedestals and housings for security installers. You will need knowledge in steel fabrication techniques, weldments, fasteners, steel shapes, etc. and have experience with 3D modeling software, SolidWorks preferred. Engineering requests from field professionals arrive daily through our sales team and you will be required to support them with drafted solutions based on ANSI standards. Having an excellent ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines with an attention to detail will enable you to be successful. If you are committed to doing your best and enjoy getting your job done with team dynamics, this will be a fun and rewarding position with lots of interaction between customers, sales professionals, and in house fabricators.

 

Key Requirements:

Working knowledge and experience with 3D modeling software, SolidWorks preferred. Ability to produce mechanical/engineering drawing packages to ANSI standards from existing product libraries and new custom designs. Ability to rapidly modify standard products to a customer’s requirements as directed by a sales team. Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, weldments, fasteners, steel shapes, etc. Ability to add value to rapid design, fabricate, deliver process. Willingness to work with engineering, sales, production, and directly with customers. Excellent communication skills are required.

 

Qualifications:

Must have experience with 3D modeling software. SolidWorks preferred. Experience with hands on fabrication is a plus. Self-start and time management skills are a must. Must have the ability to work independently and as a team. Bachelor’s degree in CAD/CAM Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Experienced with Microsoft Office. Adobe Suite experience is a plus.
