Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to lead the design and layout of electrical systems for commercial and residential construction projects. This role involves developing detailed electrical plans and schematics that meet project requirements, align with client expectations, and comply with all relevant building codes.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead the design and layout of electrical systems for commercial and residential projects, including power distribution, lighting, receptacles, and fire alarm systems.
+ Produce comprehensive electrical plans and schematics that comply with NEC, NFPA, IBC, and other applicable building codes.
+ Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, civil teams, and clients to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
+ Conduct site visits and participate in client meetings to verify field conditions, confirm design intent, and support construction activities.
+ Prepare construction documents, specifications, and permit submittals with accuracy and code compliance.
+ Mentor junior designers and drafters, promoting collaboration and supporting technical development.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial and residential buildings.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low‑voltage design, load calculations, panel schedules, and circuiting.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and BIM modeling.
+ Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and coordination.
+ Strong understanding of local and national electrical codes, permitting processes, and construction standards.
+ Excellent communication, organization, and multi‑project management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with multi‑family residential and mixed‑use development projects.
+ Proficiency with Revit MEP.
+ Commercial drafting and electrical design experience using AutoCAD.
Work Environment
+ Hybrid schedule with two remote workdays per week.
+ Collaboration with a multi‑disciplinary project team.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
