We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join a collaborative engineering team supporting large‑scale industrial equipment projects. In this role, you will create high‑quality 2D and 3D engineering drawings that form the backbone of fabrication, field erection, and construction efforts. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and fabrication partners to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and aligned with internal standards and customer specifications.

Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, revise, and maintain 2D and 3D detail and general arrangement drawings using multiple CAD platformsDevelop and update design standards, guidelines, and CAD templates to support consistency and qualityPrepare and check detailed drawings for large mechanical components using inputs from multiple engineering disciplinesProduce fabrication and field erection drawings used by suppliers and construction teamsEnter mechanical design data into structured databases (XML format) to support downstream fabrication processesInterpret and apply applicable industry standards and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and customer requirementsCollaborate with structural engineers, layout designers, and drafting teams to resolve layout and constructability challengesSupport constructability reviews and improvements for field‑erected equipmentEnsure all internal teams, external customers, and subcontractors are working from the latest design informationTrack and communicate progress by updating project schedules and status reportsRequired Skills & ExperienceProficiency in Autodesk InventorStrong working knowledge of AISC and AWS weld symbolsExperience using Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk AutoCADHands‑on experience creating engineering, fabrication, and erection drawingsSolid understanding of 2D and 3D CAD design workflowsComfortable working in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced project environmentAbility to adapt to evolving design requirements and procedural updatesPreferred QualificationsTechnical or vocational school education, or two‑year college training (Certificate acceptable; degree preferred)1–3 years of CAD design experience, including academic or internship experienceExperience supporting large industrial or structural equipment projectsWork EnvironmentThis role is based in a professional office setting with a large, open drafting workspace designed to encourage collaboration. You’ll work alongside a sizeable team of designers and detailers, fostering daily communication, peer learning, and shared problem‑solving.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
