Citadel Completions is seeking an experienced Aviation Mechanical Drafter to support aircraft maintenance, modification, and engineering documentation. This role is responsible for producing accurate mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation used in aircraft structural and mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, OEM standards, and company procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for aircraft systems, components, and structural assemblies
Develop and revise drawings for:
Aircraft structural components
Mechanical systems and assemblies
Modifications, repairs, and retrofits
Update drawings based on:
Engineering change notices (ECNs)
Maintenance and inspection findings
Regulatory or OEM requirements
Ensure all drawings comply with:
FAA regulations (14 CFR)
OEM technical data
Company drafting and documentation standards
Support engineering and maintenance teams with:
Technical drawing clarification
As-built and redline incorporation
Create and maintain:
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Installation drawings and detail views
Revision histories and document control records
Coordinate with quality, engineering, and maintenance personnel to resolve design and documentation issues
Support audits and compliance reviews as required
Required QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Drafting, Aviation Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience as an Aviation or Mechanical Drafter, preferably supporting aircraft maintenance or modification programs
Proficiency in CAD software such as:
AutoCAD
SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA (preferred)
Strong understanding of:
Aircraft mechanical and structural systems
Aviation drafting standards and practices
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to interpret:
Engineering drawings
OEM manuals and service bulletins
FAA-approved technical data
Experience working in regulated environments
Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with:
FAA repair station operations (Part 145)
Aircraft modification and STC documentation
Structural repair manuals (SRM) and IPCs
Experience supporting:
Fixed-wing or rotary aircraft
Corporate, charter, or special-mission aircraft
Knowledge of quality systems and compliance documentation
