We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to support the Sentinel program. This role involves using Siemens NX and modeling software along with Teamcenter, with a focus on maintaining and applying GD&T standards. The Sentinel program is paperless, emphasizing the importance of PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) experience, which consolidates all written assembly instructions, dimensions, and data sheets into the drawings.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and revise layout, detail, and assembly drawings of moderate complexity for mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components using CAD and PLM software with minimal supervision.Design simple mechanical and/or electromechanical components as required.Gather missing information necessary to complete assignments and ensure accuracy.Perform work in accordance with standard drafting practices, maintaining a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing methods.Hand off work to and supervise lower-level drafters as needed.Adhere to established policies and standards while using CAD and PLM software efficiently.Essential SkillsProficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter, with at least 2 years of recent experience.Daily use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).5-10 years of experience in military, DOD, or aerospace mechanical design.U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.Additional Skills & Qualifications1 year of PMI Product Manufacturing Information experience in NX.Experience in a paperless program environment is valuable.Work EnvironmentThe work involves design through launch of various missions for government and military customers, including defensive systems such as Next Generation Interceptor and LGM-35 Sentinel. Most work is conducted in an office setting, with occasional work in lab testing environments or manufacturing settings. The role follows a 9/80 schedule, which allows for a compressed workweek of 80 hours over two weeks, providing a three-day weekend every other week, thereby enhancing work-life balance.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
