Are you passionate about creating and communicating design through production drawings? As a Ride & Show Electrical Designer, you will collaborate with our Engineering team to deliver design drawings that support the planning and execution of capital and sustainment projects for our innovative attractions. You will work closely with Design & Engineering teams, line of business customers, outside vendors, and project management staff to create CAD designs, detail drawings, and other supporting documentation. Your role will make an impact by contributing to a variety of detailed production drawings for electrical wiring diagrams, schematics of electrical systems, mechanical details and assemblies for racks, consoles, and control boxes.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Engineering to develop innovative and production design packages in support of project requirements.Provide CAD design layouts and detail drawings for capital and expense projects.Participate in project design reviews and help develop project plans.Complete multiple fast-paced, well-defined projects using effective time management principles and task tracking software.Research historical data, documentation, materials, processes, parts, and systems to determine project requirements.Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, legislation, and regulatory requirements.Review design packages with vendors and shops to ensure conformance with design documentation.Work with Engineers and Document Control Staff to ensure project documentation is properly detailed and submitted into the electronic data management system.Stay updated on industry practices, industrial codes, company specifications, and relevant legislation.Learn and adapt to new software packages to support project documentation delivery.Understand new technologies, products, and methodologies, and propose solutions that reduce cost, increase quality or safety, or overcome technical challenges.Essential SkillsFour or more years of design experience as a Designer or relevant education.Professional training or certification in AutoCAD Electrical.Engineering and electrical/mechanical design skills, including manufacturing practices and processes.Knowledge of materials (metals, composites, plastics), welding, finish processes, and engineering documentation.Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.Ability to work on multiple projects and within a team in a high-paced environment.Willingness to learn new computer software packages.Additional Skills & QualificationsTwo or more years of college in electrical/mechanical engineering or engineering technology courses, preferably with an Associate's or higher-level degree, or equivalent work experience.GD&T training and/or certification.SolidWorks CSWA certification or equivalent professional training.AutoCAD 2018, Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design & Drafting preferred.AutoCAD Electrical 2018, professional training preferred.Eplan P2.9, Eplan Certified Engineer preferred.Awareness of Industry Standards such as ANSI, IEC, IEEE, JIC, MIL-STD, NEMA, OSHA, NFPA, SAE, UL.Work EnvironmentYou will join a collaborative team in an open environment, partnering closely with Engineering. The role involves working with various technologies and equipment, focusing on project documentation delivery. The work environment is dynamic, and you will be expected to adapt quickly to new software packages and industry standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
