Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Designer to join our Logistics & Storage Engineering team, an engineering service and project management organization responsible for managing project work associated with pipelines, terminals, and marine organizations. The position involves performing mechanical and civil design for the pipeline sector, completing as-built drawing documentation, and providing technical expertise. This role is based in Findlay, OH, with a travel requirement of up to 5-10%, including some overnight travel.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with other departments, subject matter experts, technicians, and vendors to gather information necessary for design tasks related to proposed projects.Develop supporting design packages for piping and mechanical portions of projects.Work closely with project leaders, subject matter experts, contractors, and terminal operations personnel to complete as-builts for mechanical and civil work at various facilities, ensuring core drawings are maintained.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of company standards, code requirements, and industry best practices.Collaborate with specialists and subject matter experts to create standard drawings and specifications for typical systems.Proactively manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring deadlines are met.Essential SkillsExperience in mechanical design, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.Proficiency in CAD and Autodesk products.Mechanical and civil knowledge and experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree in CAD, Engineering Technology, or other technical fields.Work Environment

The position requires four days in the office with one day remote, with the potential for more remote days for the right candidate. The work involves designing boosters, actuators, and other components on pipelines or terminals, producing core drawings, and updating redlines to keep drawings up to date. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of direct hire if additional work becomes available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.65/hr.
