·Position Summary
Responsible for producing precise technical drawings and documentation to support engineering and manufacturing activities, as well as coordinating Engineering Change Notice (ECN) records and workflow. The CAD Designer works closely with engineers, product teams, and other departments to ensure all designs are accurate, clearly represented, and aligned with industry requirements. This role requires strong CAD proficiency, solid drafting knowledge, and familiarity with engineering and design fundamentals.
Essential Duties
+ Review, update, and refine documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistent formatting.
+ Establish and maintain document control practices, including revision tracking and controlled distribution.
+ Collaborate with project team members to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
+ Work closely with teams across product development, engineering, operations, and quality to ensure alignment on project goals.
+ Create and update drawings, models, and related drafting materials.
+ Use CAD software to generate precise technical layouts and design files.
+ Evaluate and adjust designs to support improved manufacturability and production efficiency.
+ Develop assembly instructions and installation information based on completed drawings.
+ Maintain and revise existing design documentation as needed.
+ Participate in planning discussions and contribute to design‑related decision‑making during project meetings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications and digital document‑handling tools.
Strong ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
Capable of prioritizing responsibilities and consistently meeting deadlines.
High level of precision and careful attention to detail.
Clear and professional communication abilities, both written and spoken.
Experienced with 3D CAD design platforms (Creo experience is a plus).
Solid understanding of drafting principles and applied mathematics.
Comfortable collaborating within a team as well as completing tasks independently.
Minimum of two years of experience in a drafting or design‑related position.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
Knowledge of manufacturing workflows and engineering practices.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mankato, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
