Our skilled tradespeople work in virtually every market across the nation. **Job Summary** The Mechanical Design Trainee will be assigned a mentor to observe their functions and processes. They will assist the Mechanical Fabrication & Design Manager, along with Mechanical Designers, to learn all aspects of developing fabrication HVAC Piping and Plumbing drawings according to the fabrication scope that will include development of details drawings in accordance with standards, construction specifications, CAD standards and industry wide detailing practices. At all times works in compliance with the Company’s safety practices. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Assists and takes direction from the Mechanical Fabrication & Design Manager and the Design staff to continue to acquire the Company’s objectives and your personal performance goals. + Ability to understand and resolve coordination problems. + Ability to effectively design a project. + Ability to select all required materials for installation. + Ability to operate present version of AutoCAD and learn Revit. + Ability to learn to read and understand complex construction documents. + Ability to learn to create shop drawings for field installation. **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
