Our client, a leader in aerospace manufacturing and engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Mechanical Design Engineer Solidworks Onsite
**Location:** Urbana, Illinois
**Pay Range:** $32/hr -$41/hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Conceptualize, design, and document the mechanical aspects to support the design, manufacturing, and service of aerospace products.
+ Provide engineering design and analysis for new product development or modifications of existing products.
+ Read and interpret aircraft manuals to determine system functionality and ensure compliance with technical standards.
+ Participate in data collection trips to assess component size and functionality, and locate suitable part substitutes as needed.
+ Review technical and contractual documentation to verify that designs meet all requirements and troubleshoot design or manufacturing issues effectively.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
+ At least 2 years of experience in SolidWorks drafting and design.
+ SolidWorks certification is a plus.
+ Experience in the aerospace industry is advantageous.
+ Proficiency in MS Office tools for documentation and communication.
