This role involves developing mechanical system designs, preparing detailed construction documents, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring all work meets NY State and NYC building codes. Location: Middletown, NY Schedule: 9 AM–5 PM, Onsite Key Responsibilities + Support HVAC, MEP, and fire protection design projects from concept through construction + Develop system layouts including ductwork, hydronic systems, ventilation, heating/cooling load calculations, and fire protection system design + Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and construction documents + Select mechanical equipment and coordinate specifications with vendors + Ensure compliance with NYS and NYC building codes, ASHRAE standards, NFPA requirements, and energy codes + Perform site visits, field assessments, and coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural teams, and contractors + Prepare engineering reports, technical analyses, calculations, and project documentation + Assist with permitting packages and coordination with regulatory agencies Essential Skills + 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience in HVAC, MEP, or fire protection + Proficiency with AutoCAD + Experience preparing construction documents for commercial or industrial facilities + Understanding of ASHRAE standards, NYS/NYC code requirements, and NFPA guidelines + Strong communication and collaboration skills Please apply directly to this posting for immediate consideration!
