We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Accelerator team. This position involves supporting the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through production. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanical design, strong CAD skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs.Test and analyze designs, making necessary adjustments based on test results.Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.Essential SkillsProficiency in Solidworks.Experience with designing, testing, and redesigning parts based on test analysis.2 - 4 years of relevant experience.Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or simulation tools, such as ANSYS.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).Experience with PDM/PLM systems, such as Solidworks PDM or Windchill.Ability to design test fixtures.Work EnvironmentThe position offers a hybrid work environment with the expectation to be onsite from Monday to Thursday and the option to work from home on Fridays unless business needs require presence onsite.
