Job Description Overview: Insight Global is looking for Mechanical Design Engineers to join their Turbine Module Design Liaison Engineering team. This can be a remote role, but the client is also interested in candidates local to Allentown, PA who would be willing to come onsite. The daily responsibilities include: • Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering • Managing dates and scope for equipment purchases, installation, and qualification • Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp • This position requires strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement. • Lead qualifications from inception to closure, parts and special processes (coatings, brazing, etc.) • Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall qualification process, reduce cost and add value. • Identify and implement qualification cost out opportunities • Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support • Cultivate positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Nice to Have Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Engineering related degree) • Strong background with CAD Software (NX Unigraphics preferred) • 2-8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering role focused on design and project management • Strong background in manufacturing environment • Familiar with Ansys, PLM (Siemens preferred) and MS Office Suite Plusses: • Gas Turbine engineering experience • Manufacturing experience • Background on hot gas path components, including NX and GD&T • Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes • Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation
