Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bloomington, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and conveyor solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, creativity in problem-solving, and proficiency in CAD software.
Responsibilities
Create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Develop and test prototypes to ensure designs meet performance standards and customer requirements.Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful completion of design projects.Work closely with clients, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design specifications are met and projects are delivered on time.Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals.Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.0-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering (minimum of an internship).Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of conveyor systems and/or industrial equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with FEA and 3D printing technologies.Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.Work Environment

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mackinaw, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $44.00/hr.
