**DESCRIPTION**
**This is an on-site position based at our location in Craiova.**
Join our High KVA Mechanical Design Team and help shape the next generation of high-power alternators and synchronous machines. This on-site role offers hands-on experience transforming customer requirements into robust, manufacturable designs, working closely with product, manufacturing, and quality teams.
**What You Will Do**
**Design & Product Development**
+ Create detailed 3D and 2D mechanical designs for synchronous alternators, including assemblies, components, and specifications.
+ Prepare rotor layouts, general arrangement drawings, and technical documentation for customer offers and order fulfillment.
+ Select materials and mechanical solutions that meet performance, thermal, and structural requirements.
**Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Evaluate customer specifications and propose feasible engineering solutions.
+ Work directly with production, industrialisation, and quotation teams to ensure smooth design-to-manufacturing transitions.
+ Support design reviews with clear engineering rationale and documentation.
**Standards, Documentation & ERP Integration**
+ Maintain accurate BOMs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
+ Ensure all designs comply with internal standards and customer requirements.
+ Integrate mechanical design data into the ERP system for proper part structuring and traceability.
**Design Validation & Continuous Improvement**
+ Perform mechanical calculations and simulations, such as stress analysis and bearing life assessments.
+ Support testing and validation activities to confirm design performance.
+ Investigate mechanical non-conformities, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
+ Apply reference designs and contribute to modular, standardized design approaches.
**Teamwork & Knowledge Sharing**
+ Collaborate with other engineers to ensure consistency across High KVA product lines.
+ Share best practices and help refine workflows, tools, and design guidelines.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred but not required).
+ Solid experience in mechanical design, ideally within heavy machinery, rotating equipment, or power systems.
+ Strong foundation in mechanical calculations, engineering principles, and design concepts.
+ Proficiency with CAD tools (3D & 2D) and ERP integration.
+ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
+ English communication skills (spoken and written).
