Mechanical Assembler Shop Worker
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler & Shop Worker** **(weekly pay)** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role involves working in a clean shop for over 50 hours a week, starting at 5 AM, across various departments to learn the assembly and build process from start to finish. The job requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure to perform basic tasks. Placement in departments is based on your skills, experience, or schooling. **Responsibilities** + Clean, break down, repair, and assemble furnaces/coils. + Use a chisel and hammer to remove cement from coils. + Operate hand and power tools to dismantle units by removing nuts, bolts, and supports. + Assemble coils by attaching supports, sandblasting, applying epoxy or adhesive for insulation, and wrapping coils with mesh material or tape. + Perform labor-intensive tasks, including standing for the entire shift. + Learn brazing and soldering as required, provided you have the mechanical aptitude. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Ability to perform repetitive labor duties. + Capacity to stand for the entire shift. + Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions. + Experience with power tools, hand tools, saws, and screw guns. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in automotive, HVAC, carpentry, or similar fields. + Knowledge in brazing, soldering, industrial painting, sandblasting, and powder coating is a plus. + Experience with TIG welding, plumbing, panel building, and wiring. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
