**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling large water filtration pumps. You will work in a collaborative environment, using blueprints to guide your assembly work. This role requires a combination of mechanical and electrical assembly skills, with a focus on precision and attention to detail. **Responsibilities** + Assemble large pumps and water pumping stations, ensuring they meet close tolerances and strict inspection requirements. + Perform skilled fittings of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units. + Align, adjust, and perform secondary machining as needed. + Instruct and oversee work of assemblers of lower classification and helpers. + Work from complex drawings and specifications. + Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices. + Ensure progress supervision, with final assemblies inspected and tested. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly. + 2+ years of experience with hand and power tools. + Proficiency in pump assembly and heavy assembly techniques. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with mechanical assembly and use of hand tools is essential. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a pay increase of $0.50-$1/hour once hired on, with merit increases every January 1st. Our tenured assemblers earn between $25-$28/hour. **Work Environment** Work the 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm, with flexible hours. Overtime is available most weekends but is optional. Join a friendly and collaborative team environment in a massive, climate-controlled warehouse. The facility is quiet, requiring only eye protection. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HARTLAND, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
