Mechanical Assembler And Fitter
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated individuals to assist in the construction and assembly of large propane tanks mounted on trucks. This position requires proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a strong mechanical aptitude. As part of the assembly team, you will fit nozzles and connectors to tanks according to blueprint specifications. **Responsibilities** + Assemble large propane tanks on the back of trucks using hand tools. + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fitting of nozzles and connectors. + Utilize mechanical skills to effectively assemble components as per schematic requirements. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years experience in mechanical assembly or machine building within a manufacturing environment. + 2+ years experience in blueprint reading. + Proficiency in mechanical assembly, machine building, and schematic interpretation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a mechanic or welding skills would be advantageous. + BG in companies such as Schwing America or Caterpillar is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** Join a union shop that offers excellent benefits, including holiday pay even while under contract.
