Mechanical Assembler - Elmhurst, IL

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team, where you will be responsible for assembling process water chillers. Our assembly and production team is divided into three distinct departments: R-Series, OPC, and Lx, offering a range of projects from highly customized prototypes to standardized units.

Responsibilities

Start in either the OPC or Lx line to fit and braze copper tubing.Wire basic electrical components effectively.Assemble brass fittings with precision.Read and interpret pipe and wiring schematics accurately.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Mechanical assembly and amplitude.Experience in building, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with machine building, production, wiring, and HVAC systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong mechanical skills.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and listening skills.Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively across the organization.Knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus.A sense of humor is appreciated.

Work Environment

Our facility, located in Elmhurst, IL, is just three years old, well-lit, and spacious. It includes a cool game/break room and an in-facility gym. You will have your own workstation equipped with an iPad for tracking hours, reading prints and work orders, and performing documentation. Employees are allowed to wear one earbud to listen to music while working and can wear t-shirts and durable shorts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmhurst, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
