The Mechanical Assembler plays a key role in the manufacturing of high-quality driveshafts. In this hands-on position, you’ll operate mechanical equipment, use hand and power tools, and ensure each product meets productivity and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate mechanical equipment including cut-off saws, welders, hydraulic presses, and balancersAssemble driveshafts using hand tools, ensuring all components are properly fitted and securedUse measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to ensure precisionRead and follow verbal and written instructions, including work orders and dimensional specificationsPerform testing and troubleshooting to verify product qualityUtilize production systems on computers, tablets, and scanners to track workflowMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelinesContribute to continuous improvement efforts and support team goalsPerform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leadsEssential SkillsExperience in packaging, production, and inspectionProficiency with hand and power toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and work ordersMechanical assembly experience, including pneumatic toolsAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to lift, pack, stack, and wrap up to 50 lbs on a regular basisBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machinery and toolsStrong organizational, communication, and basic math skillsBasic computer skills, including internet use and scanning systemsWhy Work With Us?Join a nearly $2 billion global supplier of aftermarket motor vehicle parts known for innovation and customer value. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
