Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Furnace - Industrial Assembler** **Job Description** In this role, you will work in a clean shop, dedicating over 50 hours a week, starting at 5 AM. You will gain experience across various departments, learning the assembly and build process from start to finish. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure are essential to perform basic jobs. Your specific skills will determine your initial placement within the departments. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical assembly to assemble components into cabinets according to drawings or pictures. + Connect wires in panels, following directions for point-to-point wiring and installing wire harnesses. + Retrofit control panels to customer specifications using hand tools and small equipment. + Install wire channels and hardware, ensuring proper fit and labeling control panel doors. + Complete control panel assembly, testing, cleaning, and shipping within a four-week timeframe. + Engage in mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems, measuring and fitting pipes for heating and cooling. + Utilize tools such as power tools, saws, and screw guns effectively. + Operate forklifts or other machinery to move heavier materials, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Ability to perform repetitive labor duties and stand for entire shifts. + Basic math skills including adding and subtracting fractions. + Experience with power tools, saws, hand tools, and screw guns. + Capability to train and willingness to learn on the job. + Desire to advance in the role and take initiative. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Brazing and soldering skills are a plus but can be taught. + Experience in automotive mechanics, metal fabrication, HVAC, carpentry, industrial painting, sandblast, powdercoat, masonry, panel building, wire assembly, and plumbing is advantageous. + Preferred candidates have worked in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant or have technical schooling or training. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers comprehensive benefits including paid vacation, holiday pay, health and vision benefits, dental care, life insurance, a 401K plan, and a company-sponsored profit-sharing plan.
