Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Production Line Mechanical Assembler is tasked with assembling, maintaining, and repairing truck-mount carpet cleaning systems. This role involves building, wiring, plumbing, and testing to ensure high-quality standards are met. A key focus is on maintaining a safe and respectful work environment while following documented processes.

Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical components, wiring, hoses, and plumbing systems on equipment units.Perform basic electrical wiring and connections for switches, gauges, and control panels.Install pumps, motors, belts, hoses, and other key components.Conduct testing on completed units to ensure proper function, including water flow, pressure, and vacuum systems.Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices in the handling and operation of mechanical equipment and tools.

Essential Skills

Experience in mechanical assembly, repair, and electrical systems.Understanding of hydraulic systems, pump control, and water pressure.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with mechanics and welding is a plus.Experience in automotive, small engine, or related work.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy equipment.Displays punctuality and consistent attendance.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, in a sheet metal job shop environment. Employees will utilize a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment in a setting that emphasizes safety and teamwork.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTH SALT LAKE, UT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
