Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and involves performing mechanical assembly operations according to documented manufacturing procedures to build trailer and truck mounted asphalt equipment from the ground up. The role includes sub-assembly of individual component parts as well as final assembly into a complete and finished product.
Responsibilities
Use basic hand and power tools to sub-assemble individual components such as engine cabinets, control boxes, and shovel cleaning compartments.Perform some electrical and wiring tasks.Assemble sub-components together into the final manufactured unit.Mount 2-4 ton capacity hoppers to trailer frames.Install control boxes, wiring harnesses, and a variety of heating systems such as LP and Diesel burners.Essential Skills
Proficiency in using power tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience in mechanical assembly.Knowledge of diesel, hydraulics, pneumatics, and wiring.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certified Diesel Technician or similar experience is a bonus.Experience with hydraulics and other power transmission systems preferred.Familiarity with 12-volt electrical systems preferred.Experience with vehicle upfitting and trailers.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is spacious, clean, and industrial, set in a sheet metal manufacturing shop with many machines, tools, and equipment. The team consists of about 50 people across different departments. The shift hours are Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, with an optional shift on Friday.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
